Privacy policy

What we collect

Nothing personal. The app has no accounts, no sign-up and no tracking or advertising cookies.

Visitor counting

We count visits using GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly service that uses no cookies and doesn't identify or track you. It records only general information, such as which page was opened, browser type, screen size, the referring website and approximate country, plus whether a share button was tapped. We use these totals to see how many people use the app.

What stays on your device

Your saved lines and stops, your last filter and tab, the bus routes you last checked and a copy of the most recent status data are stored only in your browser on your own device, so the app can show them next time and when you're offline. We never receive them. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app removes them.

Your location ("Near me")

If you tap "Near me" in Live times, your phone asks your permission to share your approximate location. It is used once, only to ask TfL's open data service for the nearest stations and stops. We never receive or store your location, and the app never tracks you in the background. You can always search by name instead.

Live travel data

To show live status, your device requests data directly from Transport for London's open data service (api.tfl.gov.uk). That request is subject to TfL's privacy policy. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, subject to Google's privacy policy. Our website host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs.
